The big list is getting smaller... house is sold, job is history !!!
Last day on the job at Lam Research was April 3rd. Drove directly from Portland to Walla Walla to see Lachlan and Charlotte SP ?? at Whitman College.
We took a nice hike. Lachlan cooked delicious sir fry. We went grocery shopping (Brian says: "frosted cheerios ? really ? Lachlan says "come on Dad.. I'm not that grown up" ...
Brian is complaining about his new flip phone... Lachlan says... well Dad, YOU could try to build one out of sticks and mud and see how that works for you..... it cost you what ?? $5 ??

Extreme Hotel in Dominican Rebublic. Kite beach at Cabarete is awesome and made more so by the company of Dale Karr and Scott Eschen. We all took kite boarding lessons, took a turn on the trapeze, and repelled and jumped down waterfalls. Another highlight was visiting an attempt at sustainable farm which included an aquaculture project. Scott and I were so impressed we have offered to donate a "cabana" to the farm. The owner of the hotel is Robbie, a smart and friend guy with a great family. I hope to return soon !!!
Dam I have good looking toes !!! The hotel is not fancy but neither are the prices... and the place is well kept and clean.
Extreme hotel is the place to stay. The have a great staff, no bugs, and fast internet. Great place to meet people.
To my left is Stephan, out instructor. He gave instructions from the tower above the shop. Highly recommended to have an instructor that had the means to communicate.
This was a great dinner at a little french restaurant in an alley. Talked to some Russian guys who flew para gliders around the island.
This "cabana" is on the farm that Robbie and team are working on. Scott and I hope to donate one like this (only a little larger), so that college interns interested in aquaculture have a place to stay. Architect Anton from Colorado is helping out.
This is Chelsea's mom, Marit. Evidently she does not like her instructor and is trying to get away. Marit hiked the PCT and gave me some beta including Yogi's PCT manual.
